My husband, Art, and I have resided in Glendale for 40 years and have always worked to “give back” and make positive contributions to our city.
During my professional career, I was a secondary teacher, department chair, coach, first Girls’ Athletic Director (post Title IX), and a Keywanette sponsor (Kiwanis affiliate for teen girls). I have a Master’s Degree in Education Administration.
My community service career began when I retired in 2001 and has continued without interruption. My services include work in the
GOVERNMENT COMMUNITY SERVICE
Served for the past five years as a City Council Member (One year as Mayor)
Served for one year as Chair of the Housing Authority
Represent the City of Glendale as a member of the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority
Represent the City of Glendale as a member of the Energy and Environment Committee of the Southern California Association of Governments (SCAG)
Represent the City of Glendale as a member of the Arroyo, Verdugo, Los Angeles County Joint Powers Authority
Served for eight years on the Glendale Commission on the Status of Women (Chair for three years)
Served for five years as Chair of the ceremonies and sponsorship committee for the City of Glendale Relay for Life
